Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
Marianne Williamson

Ms. King is passionate about helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses while nurturing their spirits, inspiring them to discover their inner greatness, and fulfilling a divine calling to serve. With over 17 years of expertise in personal and organizational behavior change management, training and development, quality management, business process improvement, project management, developmental education, and social research in private industry, government, and nonprofits, Ms. King sets high standards for her team and can aptly guide clients to set and exceed standards of excellence for their businesses.

As a child, I wanted to be a psychologist to help people solve their problems.

Upon her teachers’ wise urging, she studied engineering instead. Ms. King found fulfillment as a sole proprietor tutoring youth and adult students who were deathly afraid of math. After earning her bachelor's degree in 2000, she volunteered for many nonprofits as a substance abuse recovery coach and youth mentor. In 2005, she resigned her post as an engineer to found International Freedom Coalition, a nonprofit dedicated to building strong families, and lead a two-year ethnographic research study on risky migrations in Spain, UK, and Mexico. Thus, her career seemed to come full circle in 2015 as Corporate Regional Quality Control Manager for a nonprofit in Washington, D.C., on a DoD AbilityOne contract focused on employing individuals with significant disabilities.

I was so excited! Finally, my passion, education, and previous achievements were all aligning for a single purpose – Industrial / Organizational Psychology. I thought to myself I have arrived!

Nonetheless, she soon realized that her "dream" position was a misstep for her dynamic personality, enduring entrepreneurial spirit, and ultimate purpose in life. As a result, she resigned after eight months. She started Beacon Pinnacle Advisors and Nikki House Books and organized and led an educational aid mission to Sierra Leone, West Africa, before returning to her native Houston in 2017.

In the private sector, Ms. King was awarded for her QA / Systems Integration and Test role in the success of a $26M project with Six Sigma innovator Motorola. In the public sector, she led International Freedom Coalition to pioneer the first-in-nation Homeless Bill of Rights. In the government sector, Ms. King managed the quality and continuous process improvement for a $70M portfolio of contracts, finding economies that led to $240,000 in savings within the first 30 days of implementation.

Moreover, she brings 10 years of expertise in the entertainment industry as actress, performance artist, brand spokesperson, and contract negotiator. Ms. King has served clients in the U.S. and Europe in theatre, TV, film, and voice overs working with such legends as Martin Sheen; earning roles in shows like the Radio City Christmas Spectacular; filming corporate training videos for PetSmart and others; and being the featured on-screen and voice talent in commercials for international giants Renault and AmbiPur.
